Designations and Associations
ABR- The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practioners by the Real Estate Buyer's Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
CRS- The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.
GRI- Graduate Realtor Institute. GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made a commitment to providing a superior level of professional services by earning the GRI designation. Realtors with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.
REAL ESTATE BROKER- An agent employed to negotiate the sale, purchase, lease or exchange of real property.
REALTOR- Member of the National Association of Realtors adhering to a strict Code of Ethics.
MLS- Multiple Listing Service which allows realtors to share information and offer compensation to qualified participates so they may better serve their clients, customers and the public.
IDX- Internet Data Exchange. Allows Multiple Listing Services (MLS) to provide information to participating Brokers or qualified members so they can advertise each others properties on web sites.
